Job Description
The Public Affairs and Media Support Specialist serves as the primary communications expert for Commander, Task Force 75 (CTF 75), supporting the Seventh Fleet, at Naval Station Guam. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic communication plans to promote CTF 75’s mission, personnel, events, and activities while fostering positive relationships with the press and public. The specialist will manage the command’s website and social media platforms in compliance with Department of Defense and Navy regulations and act as the senior editor for print and visual media productions. The position requires coordination with Naval Base Guam, Region Marianas, Pacific Fleet (PACFLT), Seventh Fleet (C7F), and Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) to ensure aligned communication efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide public affairs and media support services for CTF 75 as the assigned multimedia and subject matter expert for command communications.
Develop and implement communication strategies to promote personnel, events, and activities, ensuring favorable relations with the press and general public.
Serve as the principal communications advisor to Commander, Navy Expeditionary Forces Command Pacific (COMNEFCPAC), planning and participating in programs to disseminate information to the public, service personnel, and within the command.
Manage and maintain the CTF 75 website and social media platforms, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations, including the inclusion of critical emergency response information.
Act as the senior editor for command communications, developing and producing accurate print and visual media content as required.
Coordinate communication efforts with Naval Base Guam, Region Marianas, PACFLT, C7F, and NECC.
Review and evaluate the effectiveness of public information releases to ensure alignment with command objectives.
Deliver monthly reports detailing public affairs activities related to website and social media platforms.
Submit reports analyzing information releases, dissemination efforts, and public response.
Provide summary reports on completed and upcoming presentations and media productions for CTF 75.
